So I just found out that the grease-monkey rigging and animating of a realistic bust project is in a few weeks before I thought it was. In future I'll learn to investigate things myself and not just take people's word for it! Anyway, that means that I'll be focusing on that quite heavily for the next week or two so expect to see some content from that as it progresses. I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and be more dedicated to blogging everything I do (are you listening future employers!?)
Times are a bit scary at the minute. Mounds of work to do, a few personal projects to pick between after graduation and of course the terrifying yet exciting prospect of finding a spot in the industry by updating this site, trying to direct more traffic here and creating new content for a sexy new showreel.
Limbs is going well and on schedule. Here is a WIP shot of a character interacting with a rubix cube. A lot trickier than it sounds (unless you know anything about computer animation, then you'll understand!).
Still got a fair bit of work in this part of the shot. Need to add some expression to the character, animate his fiungers which are static at the moment and smooth the whole thing. However its amazing to see how much my animating has come along in the last year and I'm really happy with the quality of the project so far. It's going top be finished and uploaded for your viewing pleasure in the first week of May so keep posted!
